What is Calm Classroom?

Calm Classroom is a set of mindfulness lessons and activities designed to cultivate peaceful, engaged classrooms and school communities by empowering students and teachers with strategies that support mental and emotional wellbeing.

Why is Mindfulness Important in Schools?

Mindfulness can help both teachers and students to reduce stress and anxiety, strengthen attention and focus, support social and emotional growth, and better resolve the inevitable conflicts that arise. Mindfulness helps us train our brains to be aware of our feelings, our bodies, and our environment in the present moment.

Calm Classroom Scripts

These techniques work best when practiced on a regular basis, 2-3x per day and as-needed. We recommend practicing first thing in the morning, after lunch, and toward the end of the day.
